Device Integration Terms

Section 1: Integration Process

1.1 Integration shall be implemented using a uniform file format within a single drop box folder, specifically: DATE/ TIME/ STAFF ID. e.g., 02/11/2020 06:53 9305.

Section 2: Supported File Formats

2.1 Only TEXT and CSV file formats shall be supported by the system.

Section 3: Data Synchronization Cycle

3.1 Data synchronization shall be executed every five (5) minutes.

Section 4: Devices and Integration

4.1 All devices used for the service must originate from the same brand.

4.2 Each device must connect to the same software to ensure centralization of all RAW data. This can be achieved via LAN, VLAN, VPN, Port Forwarding, or DYDNS connection.

4.3 Each line of RAW data must possess an identical field length for consistency.

4.4 In the event of data inconsistencies, Lightman Consulting may be unable to execute integration.

4.5 Example Process Flow: For clients using Fingertec Devices, the flow will be as follows: Fingertec Device > Fingertec Software > Export RAW Data > Select Drop Box Folder Location > Lightman Consulting retrieves the RAW data file from the Drop Box folder.

Section 5: Automation Scenarios

5.1 Two scenarios for data integration are possible: Fully Automated or Partially Automated.

5.2 In a Fully Automated scenario, the client’s time attendance software possesses the capability to automatically export schedulers by timer. In this case, the client provides the initial data and Lightman Consulting takes over after the data is placed in the Drop Box.

5.3 In a Partially Automated scenario, the client’s time attendance software lacks the feature to automatically export schedulers by timer. Here, the client’s HR staff must manually export the scheduler on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, and upload the exported file to Lightman’s Drop Box folder location.

5.4 The responsibility of ensuring that the data is uploaded to the Drop Box in the Partially Automated scenario falls to the client. Once data is in the Drop Box, Lightman Consulting assumes the responsibility for the integration process.
